About one oz makes 1 Liter of laundry soap liquid.

Made according to a special family recipe handed down from generation to generation in the Fabre family, our real Marseille soap shavings are perfectly dried and dehydrated at the end of the manufacturing process, giving them unrivalled quality. Our 300g bag of Marseille soap flakes will enable you to make your first "homemade washing powder". It's economical and environmentally friendly, so you can make up to 10 litres of washing powder.

Instructions:

  • put 1 oz of soap flakes at the bottom of your bottle or in a separate mixing bowl
  • pour very hot water on it, to melt them (start with approximately 200ml)
  • shake or stir well
  • pour in about 200 ml of very hot water again
  • shake or stir well well
  • let stand if necessary, then top up again with very hot water to reach 1 liter of detergent.
  • A phase shift can occur in laundry, due to its natural formula. You just need to shake the bottle vigorously to mix well again.

Practical hints

Recommended for delicate clothing, baby linen, woollens, as well as for people suffering from skin irritations.

If your water is hard, add a cupful of white vinegar in the fabric conditioner compartment at regular intervals.

For a scented fragrance, add a few drops of essential oil to your washing liquid (e.g. lavender, tea-tree or citrus).

For a whiter than white effect, add a tablespoon of bicarbonate of soda or a small handful of soda crystals

Ingredients:

  • 100% vegetable oils (Oleic sunflower oil, coconut oil)
  • Free from artificial colourings, fragrance and preservatives
  • Without chemical additives
  • Without palm oil

Soap 30% and over (Sodium Sunflowerseedate, Sodium Cocoate)

Also contains: Aqua, Glycerine, Sodium chloride, Sodium hydroxide

The glycerine in these Marseille soaps has not been added, it is the one that is naturally present in vegetable oil. After a 10 day cooking period and many rinses, only a small amount remains. Authentic Marseille soap, when it is made according to traditional processes, is actually glycerine free.

“Glycerine” is, however, listed in the soaps’ ingredients because some traces remain. The new cosmetic regulation requires all ingredients, even in small quantities, to be stated in the list of ingredients.
