Listing for one oz of laundry flakes. Also available in a 300g fabric bag and 750g box.

About one oz makes 1 Liter of laundry soap liquid., enough for 10 loads of laundry.

Made according to a special family recipe handed down from generation to generation in the Fabre family, our real Marseille soap shavings are perfectly dried and dehydrated at the end of the manufacturing process, giving them unrivaled quality.

Instructions:

  • put 1 oz of soap flakes at the bottom of your bottle or in a separate mixing bowl
  • pour very hot water on it, to melt them (start with approximately 200ml)
  • shake or stir well
  • pour in about 200 ml of very hot water again
  • shake or stir well well
  • let stand if necessary, then top up again with very hot water to reach 1 liter of detergent.
  • A phase shift can occur in laundry, due to its natural formula. You just need to shake the bottle vigorously to mix well again.

Practical hints

Recommended for delicate clothing, baby linen, woollens, as well as for people suffering from skin irritations.

If your water is hard, add a cupful of white vinegar in the fabric conditioner compartment at regular intervals.

For a scented fragrance, add a few drops of essential oil to your washing liquid (e.g. lavender, tea-tree or citrus).

For a whiter than white effect, add a tablespoon of bicarbonate of soda or a small handful of soda crystals

Ingredients:

  • 100% vegetable oils (Oleic sunflower oil, coconut oil)
  • Free from artificial colourings, fragrance and preservatives
  • Without chemical additives
  • Without palm oil

Soap 30% and over (Sodium Sunflowerseedate, Sodium Cocoate)

Also contains: Aqua, Glycerine, Sodium chloride, Sodium hydroxide

The glycerine in these Marseille soaps has not been added, it is the one that is naturally present in vegetable oil. After a 10 day cooking period and many rinses, only a small amount remains. Authentic Marseille soap, when it is made according to traditional processes, is actually glycerine free.

“Glycerine” is, however, listed in the soaps’ ingredients because some traces remain. The new cosmetic regulation requires all ingredients, even in small quantities, to be stated in the list of ingredients.

Words from the brand:

Our philosophy

"For over 120 years and through four generations, our family has been trying to keep our ever threatened know-how alive : making true Marseille soap by conserving the techniques of saponification in cauldrons.

Our secret is the knack passed down through generations, from father to son, then from father to daughter.

Our primary concern is the high quality of our  raw materials.

Our soap is made using only vegetable oils, especially olive oil. No colorants or synthetic substances are added. This exceptional purity renders it beneficial for the skin and environmental-friendly.

All our products follow the same line of thought.

This know-how, patience and rigour are the rules which allow the Marius Fabre soap factory to produce a Marseille soap of peerless quality.

Today, we are proud to carry on the tradition started here in 1900 by our great grand-father, Marius Fabre.
