Indigo face mask
A mask intended to soothe and balance your skin with the help of gentle clay and healing medicinal herbs.
I felt called to create a mask with these two plants because they grew side by side all Summer long in the field, dancing together in the wind and growing strong and healthy as a pair.
Japanese indigo has been used in lotions, creams, soaps and more for it’s medicinal and cosmetic properties for centuries. Indigo can help with inflammation, redness, and eczema making it the perfect addition to this face mask. It is paired with it’s healing plant friend, yarrow. Yarrow can be helpful by drawing toxins out of the skin and tightening pores. It can also aid with issues of inflammation in the skin among many other things.
You are at peace.
Light candles, set an intention. Mix a tablespoon of mask with water or hydrosol. Do not use anything sugar based, as it could potentially activate the blue). Apply to face, neck, chest, back or wherever needed and marinate in the magic. Wash once dry and emanate your unique radiance. This mask can also be used as an exfoliant; mix in wet hands onto wet face and scrub gently.
Ingredients: Kaolin clay, Japanese indigo* (Persicaria tinctoria), Yarrow* (Achillea millefolium).
